About Us
Civil ID Status is an independent website that explains Kuwait Civil ID services in plain language. We help citizens and residents understand how to check their card status, confirm validity, renew a card, pay fees and collect a new Civil ID, using only the official PACI and Kuwait Government channels.
Why this website exists
Many people in Kuwait search for their Civil ID status and land on confusing pages, outdated screenshots or unofficial websites that ask for personal details. We wanted one clear, honest place that explains each step, shows what the official pages look like, and always sends readers back to the official service to get their actual result.
What we cover
- Card status: how to check whether a new or renewed Civil ID is ready and where to collect it.
- Card validity: how to confirm whether an existing card is still valid.
- Renewal, fees and fines: the official channels, current listed fees, and when fines may apply.
- Appointments and collection: booking through Meta, collection locations and machine numbers.
- Official apps: how Sahel and Kuwait Mobile ID (Hawyti) fit into Civil ID services.
How we write and update our guides
Every guide is based on the official PACI website, Kuwait Government Online (e.gov.kw) and other official government sources. We follow the steps ourselves, take screenshots of what you will see, and explain each step in simple English. When a detail can change, such as a fee, an app menu or working hours, we say so and point you to the official source to confirm it.
Each article shows its last updated date. We review our guides when official services change and update them as soon as we notice a difference.
Who runs Civil ID Status
Civil ID Status is written and maintained by Khalid. The site is run independently and is not paid for or directed by any government body.
We are not PACI
Civil ID Status is not the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) and is not affiliated with the Government of Kuwait. We cannot see, change, approve or speed up any Civil ID record. Your card status is only shown on official services such as services.paci.gov.kw, e.gov.kw and the Sahel app.
About our Civil ID checker
The checker on our homepage tests whether a Civil ID number has a valid format and reads the birth date encoded in it. It runs entirely in your browser: the number is not sent to us or stored. It then opens the official PACI Card Status page so you can see your real result there.
Corrections
If a step, screenshot or detail on our site no longer matches the official service, please tell us through our Contact Us page. We check every report and correct mistakes as quickly as possible.
