Cookies Policy
Last updated: 5 October 2026. This Cookies Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies may be used when you visit civilidstatus.org, and how you can control them.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website or service stores in your browser. They help websites work properly, stay secure and remember certain settings.
Our approach
We do not set our own tracking or advertising cookies. Our Civil ID checker does not use cookies or store your Civil ID number in your browser.
Cookies that may be set
| Provider | Type | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Cloudflare | Strictly necessary | Protects the website from bots and malicious traffic and keeps it fast and available. |
| YouTube (Google) | Third-party | May be set when an embedded video loads or plays, for example to remember video preferences or measure viewing. |
| WordPress | Functional | Used only for site administrators who log in to manage the website. Normal visitors do not receive these cookies. |
Third-party providers control their own cookies under their own privacy and cookie policies. We do not have access to the information these cookies collect.
Analytics and advertising
We do not currently use analytics or advertising cookies. If we add services such as website analytics or ads in the future, we will update this policy before they are switched on and, where required, ask for your consent.
How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Most browsers let you:
- see which cookies are stored and delete them one by one or all at once;
- block third-party cookies, such as those from embedded videos;
- block all cookies from a specific website;
- delete all cookies when you close the browser.
Blocking strictly necessary cookies may affect how the website loads. Blocking YouTube cookies may stop embedded videos from playing, but all written guides will still work normally.
